Overview

This wine comes from the Monte Porzio hills just south of Rome. It is rare to find a wine made from 100% Malvasia del Lazio in the export market. Most white wines from the area, including Frascati, are blended with other white varietals to reduce the price of the wine. The soils in the area are fertile and are volcanic in nature. They are rich in potassium and phosphorus. This suits the Malvasia vine well. The wine has a clean grapey fruit profile with green leafy freshness. The palate is soft, dry and there is a nice concentration of fruit on the finish.
