Overview

A wine called the matchmaker as Braida combined Barbera successfully with Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir) and small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. This forward thinking blend has resulted in a complex and powerful wine at an attractive price. Il Bacciale is versatile and goes with many types of culinary dishes. It will also age well for several years in the cellar.

Grape Variety
60% Barbera, 20% Pinot Noir 10% Cabernet S., 10% Merlot.
Vinification
Vinification of four grapes is done separately; alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in stainless steel.
Aging
The combination is followed by aging part in wood vats and part in oak casks for 8-12 mos.

Intense, brilliant ruby red.

Bouquet of spices, with coffee and dark berry fruit.

Warm, pleasing mouth-feel, from the finish of plum, pepper and cinnamon. A complex and elegant wine with nice acidty.
