Overview

The name Ormai is inspired from a poem written by G. Carducci, a Nobel laureate poet (1906) who was a native of Bolgheri. The poem describes the beautiful cypress trees leading to the village of Bolgheri that made the village famous long before a wine named Sassicaia made it renowned again. Ormai literally means “from now on”. Batzella’s philosophy is to make value priced wines in this small zone that has been famous for sought after super premium brands.
