Overview
This is Masciarelli’s everyday Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, which is made of 100% Montepulciano grapes coming from 7 different prime vineyards from various areas near the town of Chieti. Each one has its own particular soil, microclimate, training system, and vine density. Their first year of production was 1981. Though we can use the term entry-level, this wine is by no means some non-descript quaffer. The purposeful blending of small batches coming from each of the diverse plots of land requires special talent. And the results, are one of the best value wines.
