Overview
Like other regions in Southern Italy, Abruzzo, except for a relatively few intrepid souls, has yet to be "discovered" by English-speaking travelers. Gianni Masciarelli's wife Marina is the inspiration behind this wine and she has taken specific fruit from prime vineyard plots and followed this quality through the winemaking process to create a wine that is powerful, rich and very much ageworthy for the cellar. This is a unique and forward looking expression of Montepulciano that shows the true potential of the varietal.
