Stefano Mancinelli winery was founded in the 1960s and is located on the rolling hills of Morro d'Alba, about 10 km. from the sea, in the province of Ancona. The agricultural land (52 ha.) Is about half vineyards specialized to produce wines of Denomination of Controlled Origin, DOC Lacrima di Morro d'Alba and Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico. In order to improve product quality, the quantity of grapes produced is limited both in the pruning, and with a thinning of the fruit at the time of veraison (ripening). The wine is made soley from grapes grown in their own vineyards, and uses traditional methods of base, supported by modern equipment. Mancinelli is also the first producer of whole-grape Grappa in the region, made from fresh Verdicchio grapes. The main objective of the Stefano Mancinelli Winery is always the pursuit of quality, maintained with care and selection throughout the growing season and the continured updating of processing techniques.
